Ammonium sulfate is white in color. Sometimes it can be light green, light blue or grayish green. Since this fertilizer itself is acidic, it can be used safely in neutral and alkaline soils. Ammonium sulfate, which contains 21% nitrogen in its composition, can acidify if it is used for a long time in acid reaction soils. If this fertilizer is used for a long time in acid-reacted soils, it will cause more acidification of the soil and make the soil inefficient. Therefore, ammonium nitrate should be used instead of ammonium sulfate. It is called white sugar fertilizer because it is usually white in color and resembles powdered sugar. In fact, whether this fertilizer is colored or white has nothing to do with the effect, both are good fertilizers.
