It is a source of nitrogen in ammonium form. Unlike other nitrogenous fertilizers, it contains sulfur as one of the important plant nutrients in addition to nitrogen. It is a valuable source of nutrients for soils where nitrogen and sulfur are lacking together. In nitrate fertilizers containing nitrate in water-saturated areas, losses occur through denitrification (conversion from NO3 to free N2). Due to these limitations of nitrated fertilizers, ammonium sulfate can be used in all kinds of soil. Granul AS is a product which is easy to dispose and homogeneous distribution due to its large physical structure. Granul AS is not suitable for drip irrigation.
