Sprinkler Systems

It is mandatory to be implemented in depots and work places where people are not always situated, having an independent area larger than 1000 m2 and high fire load and risk; places open to public and high buildings. The extinguishing occurs by benefiting from the cooling nature of water during the fires of the materials stored in these places or the spreading of the fire is prevented even if it is not extinguished. The system is operated automatically or manually. The spring heads selected with the operation conditions in the volume in consideration for automatic systems are mounted to the installment which has been constructed at the ceiling section and including water with 12 bars of pressure. When the glass tube at the edge of the spring head extends and reaches the predetermined temperature due to the heat during the fire, the glass tube explodes and the pressurized water in the installment discharges into the volume. In order to prevent the freezing of the water in the places with partial contact with open air, the installment includes pressurized air and the pressurized water discharges with the opening of the system and moves the water. The spring heads are open in the manual systems and there is no water in the circuit. With the opening of the valve, the pressurized water fills the installment and is discharged via the open heads. These systems are used in places with fire load and constant human activity. With the increase of the heat in the automatic systems, spring heads open one by one. Since all the heads are open in manual system, the water is discharged from all heads with the system being activated. In this system, both more water is used and the material at the sections where the fire does not spread gets wet as well. In order to partially prevent that, manual systems should be divided into sections and operated with separate valves.
