Sonmar Ltd has been catering for the needs of Turkish Professional Motion Picture and Television Film Producers for equipment and consumables in 1984. Our story starts with company founder Ali Cenani deciding to invest in Professional Motion Picture and Television Industry by importing a batch of Agfa Gevaert print film for Turkish Professional Motion Picture professionals. By 1984, Sonmar became the sole official distributor for Agfa Gevaert Negative and Print Films (a position the company held for 20 years until Agfa Gevaert stopped producing Print Films). Throughout the years Sonmar successfully represented many international brands such as Sony Professional Media, Duncan Calder Equipment, IAI, Kobold and DeSisti. As of today, with our partners Rosco, Manfrotto, Avenger, Velvetlight, Cosmolight and Osram and with 33 years of experience, confidence and heritage, Sonmar remains one of the main suppliers of studio and location lighting equipment and lighting consumables in Turkey. We operate out of our own Istanbul warehouse, we keep stock of almost all of our product range and we offer stable and reasonable pricing.
